Jessie Rox was born and raised in Pasadena, TX and loves the hustle and bustle of life in Houston! After high school, she achieved her Bachelor of Science degree in Dance Management from Oklahoma City University. Throughout college and following, Jessie taught dance at a local dance studio in the Oklahoma City Area. Once the opportunity to move back to Houston became available Jessie and her family took it! Since moving back, Jessie has become the resident choreographer for a local community college and adores the time spent working with the college students as well as the community. Over the last few years, Jessie has worked to help build and expand the summer children’s theatre program.
Outside of her career, Jessie has many interests; she loves to cook, craft, and shop! Clothes and costumes are one of her major passions. Vintage clothing and accessories have been an interest since she was a child. One of her favorite memories, was to try on her grandmothers’ jewelry, in particular the beautiful aurora beads and crystals. Over the years, the love of her grandmothers’ beads has evolved into a beautiful collection of her own which expands beyond jewelry into wonderful box purses and of course an array of dresses. Jessie loves to explore the wide variety of vintage shopping options in Houston and the surrounding areas. From the actual vintage clothing stores to pop-shops and even antique stores, you never know what you will find if you are willing to look.
Jessie is the Events and Newsletter Coordinator for the Benefit Betties and enjoys being able to volunteer her time with many different organizations to help a variety of needs around Houston. Her pinup photos have been published in more than a dozen magazines, such as, Dames, Planes, and Automobiles, Kat Club, Delicious Dolls and many others.
Jessie’s favorite thing of all is being a mother to her two beautiful little girls, Lilian and Violet, and wife to her wonderful husband, Ryan. The girls are already beginning to develop their mother’s passion for costumes, clothing, and accessories! Ryan might not be as happy about that as Jessie is.
